Our Video

In addition to this blog, we also documented our trip on camera.  At our show, we premiered a short documentary made up of that footage and the different love answers we collected across the country.  Now, it is available to you, via the interwebs! Enjoy!

If anyone is still interested in receiving a free DVD of the documentary and the full collection of love answers, send us an e-mail at loveeachone@gmail.com with your name and address and we would be more than happy to send it your way! :)

til next time,
jason

The Show

it finally happened!
after a lot of waiting, planning, creating, and hoping we finally had our love each one show.

morning of we found out that the space we were planning to use would be covered by a tent, which was unexpected but we were like ok yeah, we can work with that.

then when we got there to set up we discovered it was full of tables and chairs that were packed in basically back to back.  it didn't look like there was any space for us at all, unless we moved everything from underneath the tent.

so we set to work.  we were literally setting up the space right down to the last second.  honestly there were moments when i thought, "oh man, how is this going to work?"  but we just kept going.

the most amazing thing through the whole process of getting ready for the show and then having it was our friends.  they were all sooo willing to help us.  they helped us print pages for books, glue the books together, spray paint tshirts, bake treats, move tables and chairs, frame love definitions, burn dvds and make cases for them, and advertise around campus and sarasota.  there is absolutely no way we could have done this show without their help.  we love you guys so much!

for those of you who weren't able to make it..... we wanted to let you know that we will have more photos online soon (i'm just sorting through everything), we will also be making a pdf version of the book available online, and IF YOU WOULD LIKE A FREE DVD OF THE DOCUMENTARY AND LOVE DEFINITIONS shoot us an email at loveeachone@gmail.com with your name and address and we would be more than happy to send one (or multiple if you like) your way!

and if you're wondering.... there is a future of love each one, it doesn't just end here.  we've got a lot of ideas and hopes and we totally welcome yours too.  IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR THE FUTURE OF LOVE EACH ONE send us an email to the address above, we would love to hear your thoughts :)

more to come soon!
till then, happy sunday :)

don't stop believin

Just last week I was able to go visit 'ol Stanley in California. The weather was beautiful, our adventuring was filled with wonders, and overall we had a super duper time. Stan had been telling me on the bus earlier that there was a guy that sat at the corner of Haight and Ashbury who would write you a poem about anything for a few bucks. We happened to see him on the bus a few minutes later so Stan very loudly whispered/yelled "HEY! that's the guy that writes poems!!" the guy looked back, we looked away, and I pointed out that maybe Stanley should try to not loudly whisper when talking about the surrounding people ;) We soon exited the bus and putting that awkward moment behind us. However when we made it to Haight and Ashbury there he sat with his typewriter ready. I really wanted to ask for a poem ( ! ) Then I thought, LOVE EACH ONE! so I pulled out a business card and some money and we hurried over to him. I explained what Love Each One had done over the last few weeks and asked if he could write us a poem about what love is to him.

He thought for a bit, typed away, handed us the poem, we said our goodbyes and Stan and I continued our exploring.

Here are his thoughts..

send us a poem or letter telling us what you think love is.

"Love is, as far as i can tell, the most mature response to any situation - the pinnacle of what it means to be truly human. Love is a wrench in the wheels of cause and effect, of reactionary living, of casual imitation. Yes, speed and events are all around us in the information age, but motion, true motion, is rare. Love is the movement. Keep moving, amigos."
